Working principle of edge banding machine

Milling cutter unit: Edge banding machines are usually equipped with two high-speed milling cutters with opposite directions to process the edges of the sheet. Among them, milling cutter 1 is responsible for processing the first 80-90% of the length of the sheet, while milling cutter 2 is responsible for processing the remaining part to prevent the tail of the sheet from breaking.

Feeding, gluing and pressure unit: The edge banding machine places roll or fixed-length edge film in a roll or fixed-length cassette and guides the edge film to the workpiece. When the basic machine is feeding and running, the transmission will automatically start and the conveyor roller will transfer the film to the workpiece. The gluing device melts the hot melt adhesive into granules as needed and uses the gluing roller to deliver it to the edge of the workpiece according to the amount.

Pre-melting unit: The function of the pre-melting unit is to preheat the edge banding strip to make it easier to combine with the workpiece. This is usually achieved by a heater, which can be electric or gas-heated.

Pressure zone unit: The adjustment factors of the pressure zone include that the center line of the pressure wheel must be perpendicular to the feed direction of the workpiece, the speed of the driving wheel must be synchronized, the order of the V and inverted V pressure wheels must be correct, and the pressure and pre-pressure floating amount must be reasonable. These factors work together to ensure that the edge banding can be firmly adhered to the workpiece

Flush cylinder: The working principle of the flush cylinder is that the motor drives the crankshaft to rotate, and the boss on the crankshaft is connected to the slider on the cylinder. When the crankshaft rotates, the boss moves the cylinder rod up and down, thereby realizing the loading, unloading, positioning and clamping of materials
