Lathe Fixtures

The lathe fixture refers to the fixture used on the lathe to process the inner and outer rotating surfaces and end surfaces of the workpiece. Most of the lathe fixtures are installed on the spindle; a few are installed on the saddle or the bed.

1. Centering lathe fixture: On the centering lathe fixture, the workpiece is often positioned by a hole or an outer circle, and the fixture adopts a centering clamping mechanism.

2. Angle iron lathe fixture: When machining the rotary end face of parts such as shells, supports, levers, joints, etc. on a lathe, it is difficult to clamp the parts on a general chuck due to the complicated shape of the parts, so special fixtures must be designed. The clamp body of this clamp is in the shape of an angle iron, so it is called an angle iron lathe clamp.

3. Faceplate type lathe clamp: The clamp of this type of clamp is called a faceplate, and there are several T-shaped grooves on it, and auxiliary elements such as positioning elements, clamping elements and indexing elements are installed, and the outer circle and inner hole of workpieces with complex shapes can be processed. This type of fixture is asymmetrical, pay attention to balance.
