Precautions for Plasma Cutting Machine Operation

1. The plasma cutting machine opens the housing for dust removal every one and a half to two months (such as blowing with compressed air or cleaning with high-precision electronic component cleaning agent and then drying with compressed air) to ensure the smooth completion of the host’s work.

2. Ensure that the 3 compartments of the main engine are balanced, and there should be no lack of compartments or excessive pressure difference.

3. Ensure that the steel plate is well grounded, and the resistance from the steel plate to the absolute ground is preferably not more than 3 ohms.

4. Maintain good electrical conductivity between the positive electrode grounding clamp and the cut steel plate.

5. Ensure sufficient gas pressure and flow rate. The pressure shall not be less than 9 kg during normal cutting (the on-board power supply shall not be less than 6 kg). Note that the distance between the gas and the plasma host shall prevail.

6. When cutting, try to set according to the cutting table parameters, such as arc voltage value, cutting height, perforation height, etc.

7. Try not to suspend arcing and perforation for a long time to improve the service life of wearing parts.

8. When plasma cutting is not used temporarily, please ensure that the host has sufficient heat dissipation before shutting down, subject to the reduction of the fan noise in the host.

9. When you feel that the cutting energy of the plasma cutting machine is insufficient (such as impenetrable steel plate, arc deviation or tailing), please stop the machine immediately for inspection, and it is forbidden to continue cutting.

10. Before each cutting, during idle high-speed and low-speed operation, when shutting down for maintenance, and before shutting down, ensure that the cutting torch is maintained at the highest point of the lifting position.
